Dishaya / Reference Screen

Catch Fake, Mismatched And Retracted References Before Review

Paste a manuscript's reference list. Every reference is looked up in the public scholarly record, and you get one clear label per reference and a report you can send back to the authors.

The Five Labels

Why It Matters Now

AI writing tools invent references that look real: plausible authors, a plausible journal, a title that sounds right. Reviewers rarely check every entry. A screen of the whole list takes about a minute and flags what needs a closer look before a reviewer spends a day on the paper.

Who It Is For

Honest Limits

This screen checks that each reference exists, is described correctly and has not been retracted. It does not check whether the cited work supports the claim made in the text. Books, reports and very recent work are sometimes missing from the scholarly record, so Not Found means look closer, not proof of fabrication.

Questions

How do I check if references in a paper are real?

Paste the reference list. Each entry is looked up in the public scholarly record and labelled Verified, Check Details, Not Found, Retracted or Broken DOI.

Does it detect retracted papers?

Yes. A cited work that has been retracted is labelled Retracted and listed at the top of the report.

How many references can I screen at once?

Up to 150 references per manuscript, numbered or one per line.
